Wake up early, after breakfast start our trip of today - hired a car (cost 30USD for whole day to go around)... I'm so glad we hired a car for first day (after the first day we only use a tuk tuk) because it was pouring afterwars ... and there's NO way you don't get yourself all wet and mud all over there once it's rain.

Already felt it ... even thought it's just a small part in the huge temple. the temples were built based on square, an square inside squares....

Only outside .. but already want to take a lot of photo! it really nice there. one of the famous thing of Bayon is the big buddha face scultpure ..
|
|
Getting in there ... see the face? its just one of them! =)
About Bayon : The Bayon is perhaps the most enigmatic of the temples built during the reign of Jayavarman VII. It view with Angkor Wat as the favorite monument among vistors. The Bayon post-dated Angkor Wat by about 100 years but it appears to have been built on the site for an earlier temple. The Bayon itself underwent a series of changes before evolving into its present form. What transfixes vistors are the vast stone heads which gaze from all directions, yet The Bayon also boasts bas-reliefs to rival those of Angkor Wat.

We passed by Elephant and Leper King Terrraces, but I forget to take pictures -_-
About Elephant and Leper King Terraces: The Elephant Terrance and Terrace of the Leper King are situated in the heart of the Angkor Thom. The were the long platform on which the Royal Plaace (no longer extant) was built. From this magnificent viewpoint the Angkorian kings watched military exercises and the terraces. The Elephant Terrace, is located at the southern end. The Leper King Terrace contains several pristine caryings of Garuda as well as Devatas and nagas.

After lunch, we are going to Angkor Wat - temple in the centre. The sky looks darker and darker ... please get us get in before rain lol
About Angkor Wat : Angkor Wat is not simply a temple, its the symbol at the very heart of the Khmer people's pride in their culture and heritage. There of its five central towers adorn the national flag and the temple and its contents are reproduced in countries modern works of art and handicraft, The temple is regarded by many as the mankind. Its remains one of the largest, extant religious buildings in the world and should be at the top of any tour itinerary.
"Angkor Wat" menas capital or "royal monasterycity" and the name is probably derived from the Sanskrit word "nagara", meaning "capital city". It served as a temple, mausoleum and probably a palace to Suryavarman II, who reigned from 1113-1150A.D. ........ too much I'm not going to keep typing, go goole it.
