Leave London at early morning before 6am and arrived at Athens, Greece at 12:15 afternoon. I wanted to go to Greece for many years since I was a small kid - I even has a werid feeling that I born there or something when I was small - anyways, I FINALLY am in GREECE!!! WOoooHooooo!

Wake up at 330am, I was going to call a taxi but Matt offer to drive me to the nearest airport train station so I can save time and money for the taxi - I can't believe how nice he is, coz he wake up at 345am to drive me to the station and he need to work the next day! Thank you so much Matt, I owe you too much! And because of your help my stay in UK was really amazing. cheers mate! :-)

Arrived airport a bit earier, got some sandwishes and check around ... get on the plane and I didn't even remember how many hours the flight was (people on the flight said around 3,4 hours - right then) - after trying Easyjet at 2003 from Scotland to Spain, Now I'm flying to Greece from London with Easyjet again..

Good thing about them was unlike other budget airline in Europe, they land in main airport but not small airport in the middle of no where.

This kid .... so cute lol

After landed, get a train ticket to the city centre where I'm going to stay, Omonia staton (from Athens airport to city centre cost 6 Euro, which is cheap for European city)

Right - after get to the Omonia staion, need to look for the hostel - looking at the address I found and keep asking people who won't speak much English, some people are very friendly and try hard to explain, some people just don't bother and gave me a shxt look ... finally get there, but the owner seems werid....

When I just arrived, there's a Romanian girl (very young, like 16-17 years old) ... I first thought she wasn't friendly, but she just couldn't speak English - she was cleaning the rooms and help to prepare bed there)

.... I wait for a while the owner finally show up, a werid looking man and he was all wet (guess he just get out from shower) then he told me nicely to wait a bit ... ok then i wait...

But I waited for almost 30 mins until he show up again, he seems busy about something else and said "sorry can you wait for a few mintues more " ... I was like HUH? ok then - after 15 mins he show up again, really waste my time but I don't bother to find another hostel ... so when he show up again I just catch him "HEY I can't wait any longer!" then he sit down to fill in the record book ... and the record is not like columns in a table, it was like draft circles in the book like mess ... wow how organized people work like that ....

Even more werid he take out an old paper box with 100 keys there, with no number or colours, and he was just trying the keys if they match the room in front of me - can't you write down the room number on the keys and be more orgainzed? very stragne ..

Anyways after an hour wasted in the hostel, I go to the the city and walk around ...

Yay I'm in Greece!

I've had a look in some website of the map of greece but didn't buy any map, was looking around but in Greece seems not easy to find a tourist information centre as easy as other places in Europe ... then Ok was thinking to just get a cheap one -

But then when I get to the national library, the lady asked if she can help and I told her I'm looking for some simple map - they got some in the Library (huh?!) and yay what a good start - I get what I need for the stay.

And look at this Library ... very pretty.

Schools (University etc) next to Library in Athens - I want to study more!

Walking down from EL. Venizelou road toward those Archaeological sites (that what I really want to see and love the most about in Athens) and more street view ...

Parliament building, bird and uniform (Whoops!)

surprise stuff

On my way to "Olympieion" (The temple of Olympian Zeus, passed by a small but very pretty church

One of the most famous archaeological sites, some ancient building ....
"Olympieion" (The temple of Olympian Zeus
the largest of the ancient temples of Athens, stands on a low elevation in the ground to the south east of the Acropolis - Traces of human settlement on this site date from as early as the prehistorics period.

There a few parts of the whole temple which built started from 124-132AD -- Temple of Olympian Zeus and the precinct wall , arch of hadrian, some roman baths, temple of apollo delphinios, temple of Kronos and Rhea ... etc

And keep walking up to Acropolis - this place is just SO beautiful.

When I was there is already 6, and it will close at 7 ... so I hurry walk up (there's book store on the street near the area and they are kinda closing already)

Get in to Acropolis finally - first seeing Parthenon .... wow its like dream ... I finally see it - wanted to see them since I was 7 or 8

Get around Acropolis, the temples are just too beautiful.....

And here can see the whole Athens city! (well, not whole but almost...)

More photos of the temple ... and myself.
On my way back to down town - street view around this pretty tourist area. already walk too much up and down and now need to find my way back to where I stay - I wanna rest after a long day.

walking back to where I stay ... and keep looking around

Dinner? forget it Im not hungry (and wow, was it the whole day I only had that pie?) and I just want to rest ....

Guess I found my way - went to lots of shops around the area in fact - the shop are brand but outside the shops on the street, I saw lots of people selling fake LV and Gucci - oh I m sure if you get them in HK is cheaper, although I never interested to get those....

so tomorrow another long day....
