Went to This northern province of Thailand, Pune's hometown, that was really unforgettable day for me - the date we went there was 5th of Dec, which is the Thai father day ( King's birthday ) so surely any big day you will always hear Thai national anthem around and once they play the song u have to stop walking / stand up if you were sitting --- thats all fine and used to it, but -- that day pune and I missed the direct bus to go to Chaing Rai (which will take 13,4 hours to back there ) but we catch another bus which will go 3/4 way ( to Lumpang ) so we decided to take this bus to go there and find other traffic or see if any bus to let us take the 2nd trip to go to Chaing Rai - after a long bus trip we arrived to Lumpang but the next bus to go to CR is mid night, we dont wanna wait for 6 hours there so we try to get some people who are going to this direction to drive us - we were standing in the middle of a high way and stopping the car, scary thing was the fire work were booming our head for celebrate the king's birthday and it was very empty around ( no building ) we were so scared coz the fireworks looks like going to hit on us in that sence, and REALLY loud as well, we were actually feel like we are on the land of war it was totally scary - after a while we got a guy ( of couse local thai guy ) to drive us to a city which is just 1 hour to go to Pune's hometown, this guy was really polite and very nice. we were finally there, and pune bring me around to that golden triangle place which even local Thai people will come to visit, and we went to Laos's border for a while and I bought some thing home :-)

Btw I went to a massage in Chaing Rai which is very non tourist ( they dont speak a word of English there, pune went to cut hair and I ask if they have massage for fun and they have !) was only .... u wont believe - 75 baht which means 15 HKD .. and I gave 20 baht tips usually so the tips looks very big .. in Bangkok, the same type of massage cost 250 baht at least
